Core Responsibilities of a Junior Operator
As a Junior Operator, you will play a vital role in maintaining the continuous operation of the facility. Working under the direct supervision of the Shift Leader and Unit Controller, your primary duties will include:
* Ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient daily operation of gas turbine combined cycle power (CCP) station systems and equipment.
* Adhering strictly to established operational guidelines and safety protocols.
* Collaborating with shift teams to monitor plant performance and resolve technical deviations promptly.
Candidate Requirements and Qualifications
To qualify for this critical technical role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
* Educational Background: Hold a Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Electrical, Instrumentation & Control, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
* Professional Experience: Bring a minimum of two years of relevant working experience, preferably within a power generation environment.
* Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with CCP operations, fundamental water chemistry, basic electrical and mechanical schematics, and standard power plant terminology.
* Reading Competency: Proven ability to interpret logic diagrams and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
* Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, critical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and thoroughness in executing tasks.
* Language Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
* Work Arrangement: Willingness and flexibility to work through a rotating shift schedule.
