# Career Opportunity: Join the Wildlife Ecotourism Project with the Ministry of Forestry
The Ministry of Forestry, through the Directorate General of Natural Resources and Ecosystem Conservation (KSDAE), is officially launching a recruitment drive for its Project Management Unit (PMU) and Project Implementation Unit (PIU). This initiative is part of the "Enhancing Co-Benefits of Conservation Area Management through an Inclusive Wildlife-based Ecotourism Strategy" project, generously supported by the Global Biodiversity Framework Fund (GBFF).
This project aims to strengthen biodiversity conservation and ecosystem resilience across Indonesia’s protected areas. By fostering sustainable, wildlife-based tourism and ensuring the active, inclusive participation of local communities, the program strives to generate long-term economic prosperity while protecting the nation's natural heritage.
## Project Structure and Available Positions
The ministry is seeking dedicated professionals to fill roles at the central level in Bogor (PMU) and across five specific project sites (PIU).
1. Project Management Unit (PMU) – Bogor Based
The central team will drive project strategy and policy alignment. Roles include:
* National Project Manager
* Finance Associate
* Administrative Assistant
* Communication and Knowledge Management Officer
* Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting Officer
* Policy, Wildlife-based Ecotourism, and Capacity Building Specialist
* Safeguards and Gender Mainstreaming Specialist
2. Project Implementation Unit (PIU) – Site Based

* Baluran National Park

## Qualifications for National Project Manager
As a leadership role, the National Project Manager position requires a high level of expertise. Applicants should ideally hold a Master’s degree (S2) in Forestry, Conservation, Sustainable Development, or Project Management.
* A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in conservation, natural resource management, or wildlife-based tourism.
* Proven ability in managing project documentation, logical frameworks, budgets, and reporting.
* Strong communication skills in both Indonesian and English, with the ability to coordinate across governmental, private, and community sectors.
* Familiarity with GEF/UNDP standards and Indonesian forestry regulations is considered a significant advantage.
